You have the power to make someone's day...

I know that a reality in life is change. This is a reality that I have struggled with for years. I love to be comfortable and have security. This past year and even more so these past few months the Lord has been telling me that it is time for change and in fact this change is good. I have been excited and anxious for months about this change, but now that the time is here, the reality is harder.

Today at work there was a little going away time for me. I am so excited to see where the Lord is leading Joel and I next, we are young and we have so much life to live and yet there was a sadness at saying goodbye to the people that I have worked daily with for the past year. I have come to love and respect these people. They pour their hearts out every day for the sake of orphans around the world. These people will always be a special part of my life. Thank you those of you who made my last year at All God's Children International an incredible experience. Those of you who are extra special to me, you know who you are and you know how much I will miss you, don't worry I will come back for a Happy Hour every now and then!

I also echo what Joel said about dinner last night. Seeing kids walk down the sidewalk from afar and seeing their faces as soon as they realized it was Joel and I was unforgettable. Thank you guys for your hugs and your smiles! I truly miss all of you girls. Your smiles and enthusiasm are priceless. Even when my days would be hard, I could always count on showing up to Youth Group on Wednesday night and counting on your bigs hugs and your funny stories. All of a sudden I would realize that I had forgotten about the stress of my day or my week.

I thank you all for your support as Joel and I take huge leaps of faith! My faith and trust has never been more challenged or strengthened. Thanks to everyone who encouraged me on the way.

I received a gift today from a dear friend at work who above anyone else has seen my heart for children around the world that will never be available for adoption. This woman has become my biggest encourager of this passion. She gave me a journal today and there was a statement on the front cover it said this:

"The place you are in needs you today. Your spark can become a flame and change everything. Reach out your hand; do great work; stand up for an ideal and put your heart into it. Believe we can build a better world. Know that what you do makes a difference. Life is the grand adventure and any life worth living is worth recording. Don't just think it, ink it!"

The journal is blue and it says: CARE every day.

Inside this journal are quotes, every page has a different quote by someone famous about caring and making a difference in the world.

I have been inspired. This is truly my heart. Thank you friend for understanding my passion and encouraging me above all others.

I will miss you all. Thank you for making my day!

I miss you guys so much already and to have you go even further is another thing I need to adjust to. Seeing you yesterday made my day but it also made you moving a reality. I also have had to have tons of faith in God through everything and seeing your's and Joel's faith shine through has helped me do that. Thanks for everything you have done. Like you were saying about coming to youth group and knowing we would tell you funny stories and give you a hug is something I found true of seeing you at youth group. You always made a bad day or week seem not too bad. If you forgot I wanted to let you know the pretty pink sparkly butterflies who are nice was the best team in the world.
