A Wedding for the history books

We had the honor to be a part of Brian and Kristy's wedding yesterday afternoon. It was one of the more beautiful and fun weddings I've attended in a while. This could be due to the fact that I was the best man and they are some of my closest friends. Their relationship is honorable and their love for one another is clearly evident by their sacrificial actions and attitudes towards one another. So that made the wedding a lot of fun.

They had it at McMenamins Edgefield, a beautiful hotel and winery in Troutdale. It did rain on their wedding day, but the hall they had the ceremony and reception was a very cool atmosphere. I also got to spend most of the day with some of my best friends--Scott, Joe, Ben, Ricky, etc.--who also happen to be Brian's best friends too.

We'll have some pictures of the event later. For now, I'm just excited that my two friends are finally married. They have been waiting and preparing for so long, it's nice to finally just do it.

  1. Alright, I can finally sit down and catch up on the world of the Maywards. You must post pictures as soon as you can because I haven't seen ANY yet! Bethany and I are dying to see how it looked. We really wish we could have been there, but the baby comes first. I'm going to have to get used to that.

  2. Yay! Married! What an adventure....the honeymoon was awesome but it's kind of weird being back home. I guess I sort of subconsciously half expected everything would go back to normal when we got back. But now I've got a boy living with me and everyone's ok with it! Very strange and very cool...Woot!
