I Heart Hermeneutics

I took a hermeneutics quiz found in Leadership Magazine and created by Scot McKnight. It gave a surprisingly accurate description of how I read, study, and interpret the Bible. It turns out that I'm a moderate, with a slight leaning towards what McKnight labels "progressive." While quizzes like this shouldn't define us, they can offer some insights. It was interesting to read the various ways a passage of Scripture can be interpreted, all with seemingly legitimate theological understanding. I wonder how my "moderate hermeneutic" affects my junior high students' view of Scripture, especially since we'll be tackling hermeneutics in the month of April.
