Celebrating Progressively

We had our first Ninth Grade Celebration Progressive Dinner (that's quite a title) last night for our ninth grade class. They are an awesome group of students whom I have grown to love over the past 7 months. The dinner was semi-formal (meaning ties for guys and dresses for girls) and we traveled to three different homes in Mesa. The parents who helped out were so gracious and hospitable for us. Not many parents would let 25 junior high students take over their home for 45 minutes! Our ninth-grade small group leaders also did an awesome job driving students around--thanks to Connie, Charity, and Gus! It takes a lot of detailed planning to pull off something like this, which doesn't come naturally to me. But I think this dinner is the beginning of a new tradition for celebrating our graduating ninth grade class as they transition into a new season of high school.

We also took pictures, so I'll post those as soon as I have 'em!
