Ever heard the phrase "
jumped the shark?" It usually refers to the moment a show, movie, or idea has hit its lowest point and lost its appeal; it stems from a Happy Days episode where The Fonz
literally jumps over a shark on water-skis. There could be
a new one finding its roots in Indiana Jones 4--
nuked the fridge. If you've seen Indy 4, you know what I mean.

I'm not sure that scene was the lowest point in the movie. Maybe...
ReplyDeleteBut the whole plot involving "saucer men from mars" was a pretty low point.
I was very disappointed in that movie. I kind of wish they had just left well enough alone. The original trilogy was fine without this addition.
Last Crusade was a good ending for the franchise, they should have left it that way. Or gone back with a new actor and done some Young Indy stuff. That might be cool, if they leave the aliens out.
Milan-
ReplyDeleteYou would jump a shark in Mexico. See you next week at camp!
