The New Facebook

Does anybody like this new format they've forced upon us? I can see some advantages to it, but having been on Facebook for a number of years, it's uncomfortable to have a new format thrust upon me, seemingly for no reason.

Yet even as I type those words of frustration, how often do I as a leader ask others to follow me into changes and transitions that are likely even more uncomfortable? How can I make those transitions as healthy as possible? How can I communicate the reasons for change so that others understand why it's important?

  1. I think I'm the only one who likes New Facebook. I can't believe all the talk that has been stirred up. It cracks me up. It is certainly a window into how people feel when we change things at church. No one ever loves change. I find it all kinda funny.

  2. Lori-
I usually love bringing change, so this Facebook thing has thrown me for an emotional loop. How can I be so set on one social-networking format, but totally fine with changing our entire youth ministry's philosophy and direction?

  3. I agree, the new Facebook sucks. It is so annoying. I do hate change but I normally like some change with computer stuff.
