House Hunt

Despite the economy supposedly falling apart around us, the Maywards are looking for a house. It feels very "grown up" to be purchasing our first home, but it's probably a wiser investment than throwing nearly $900 into apartment rent every month. It's both exciting and nerve-wracking for me. I'm excited to own a home and do manly house-fixing stuff, but anxious about dropping the most amount of money I'll have ever spent in one fell-swoop. We're trying to be wise stewards with what God's given us. We're also thinking through how we can be salt and light in a new neighborhood and praying that God would help us be good neighbors. We'll keep the online world posted on our house hunting progress, and will definitely post pictures when we find our new home!

  1. how exciting!

going through all the houses is definitely the most fun part...

...signing your name a million times on all the documents would be the second best part :o]

...and being able to talk about things like mortages, equity, refinancing, etc. made me feel like i'd become a "grown up" lol, for better or worse!

enjoy it and best wishes on a successful house hunting adventure over the next few weeks/months!
