Poverty Awareness

This site is creating awareness about poverty in our world today, which is something Katie and I both value a great deal. Living in Arizona suburbia, it can be quite easy to focus on our own economic problems and forget some of the huge issues our global neighbors face daily. One focus our junior high ministry is taking this school year is living missionally--sharing the whole Gospel with the whole person, not creating a dichotomy between physical and spiritual needs. That's why we love Food for the Hungry, the organization Katie works for, and Global Support Mission, a non-profit meant to build relational connections while ending poverty. I'm hoping to partner with GSM in the upcoming months with the junior high students I serve, especially with something like this.

  1. Today at school we had an assembly about Invisible Children. It was really good. If you haven't heard of the organization you should check it out.
