Three Upcoming Nostalgic Films

This upcoming year has a number of films that remind me of my early childhood. First, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. I owned plenty of G.I. Joe's growing up and had lots of epic imaginary battles. Many are probably still buried in the backyard of my childhood home in Tacoma. This is the Super Bowl spot that will be premiering tomorrow.

Second, another Street Fighter movie, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. I remember playing Capcom's Street Fighter II arcade game as a little kid. My favorite character was Ryu; he could shoot fireballs. Sadly, Ryu is not in this film.

Finally, another Transformers movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. No trailer for this one yet, but the poster looks creepy.

First, I have really low expectations for each of these films, despite their nostalgic elements. They all look pretty fun with their over-the-top action, but I'm still hesitant. Plus, every one of these films has a ridiculously long name with a colon separating the subtitle. Based on the formula of childhood memories + long colon-ized titles, here is my guess for the next release:

Legos The Movie: The Mythic Saga of the Duplo Block

Update:
There is a Super Bowl spot for Transformers after all. You can check it out here:
