Thursday Randomness

I have quite a few allergies: peanuts, beans, pollen, and most furry animals. I was that kid who went to summer camp with a bag full of medication and a list of foods I couldn't eat. The allergies remain a thorn in my side, limiting the types of food I can eat and becoming an awkward conversation starter during social events.

However, I don't have it nearly as bad as these bizarre allergies. Sunlight, water, sweat, cold, heat, skin pressure, and vibrations can all cause hives, swelling, and even anaphylactic shock. How someone can be allergic to vibrations is beyond me. The picture above is from dermatographism, where the simple pressure of touch brings up welts or hives. Don't poke or hug these people.
