Baby Blogging

We dedicated Copeland in the worship service two weeks ago, which was an emotionally powerful moment for me as a father. He was all smiles the entire time. The heart of Deuteronomy 6 is my prayer for our little family:

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

  1. I've been reading through some of your enteries and realized quickly we share similar tastes in film and music. You remind me a lot of my HS youth pastor (it's a compliment!) But I wondered if you had heard of, or are a fan of Rob Bell? Seems like your thoughts and theology might align with his approach. I really enjoy his NOOMA videos, and if you haven't seen them they would be great to show to a youth group. I don't have my own blog, but have thoroughly enjoyed reading yours!

    Take care!
