Metropolis Restored

A full original version of Fritz Lang's epic silent film Metropolis has been found in Argentina.
One of the most celebrated movies in cinema history, “Metropolis” had not been viewed at its full length — roughly two and a half hours — since shortly after its premiere in Berlin in 1927, when it was withdrawn from circulation and about an hour of its footage was amputated and presumed destroyed.
I would consider Metropolis one of my favorite all-time films, partly for its spiritual undertones about what makes us truly human, and partly for the ambitious creativity in the director's vision. Highly recommended if you haven't seen it yet.
