Good Jesus Music - Three Albums I'm Loving

The Welcome Wagon - Precious Remedies Against Satan's Devices. Married pastor couple Thomas Vito Aiuto and Monique create hymns and old-time gospel music for a new generation. Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, and friends of Sufjan Stevens, their second album is an intimate and celebratory response to the goodness of the Gospel. Get their album here.

Jenny and Tyler - Open Your Doors. The fourth full-length album from this husband-and-wife duo is an affecting acoustic collection of songs praising their Savior. Intimate and reflective, this is the kind of music that is best enjoyed in dark coffee shops or ancient church buildings. Buy the album for $5.00 here.

Wayfarer - The River. This Seattle-based band writes hymns and spirituals in the same folky vein as Fleet Foxes. No really, the Fleet Foxes parallel is uncanny. And that's a very good thing. Their 5-song EP is totally free too (though I know they'd appreciate anything you can give).  You can download it here.

  1. I actually met and hung out with Jenny and Tyler back in college when they went to University of Delaware. They are great people.
